Initial Research; Billboard

Billboard Magazine.

Genre; Pop/Rock
Audience; Mainly Female readers, between the ages of 14 and 30. I believe that the majority of the audience of this magazine would be the younger half of the audience, but their parents/carers' psychographics could be Achievers or Traditionalists. Their social values would be Traditionalists and/or Post-modernists. The younger half of the audience's social values would be Post-materialists, as they would be reading the magazine to see their favourite artists/icons, and look up to them and be like them in the future.
On the Jicnar scale, I believe the audience ('s parents/carers) would be between B-C2.
The cover of the magazine uses a large image of Miley Cyrus, to attract the audience. This image of Miley is her with her guitar, so that we know that we are focussing on Miley's musical side, as opposed to her acting side. The image of Miley is against a Corn field background, which is attractive to the audience, and makes it stand out against other magazines on the shelf, due to it's unusuality. by doing this, we know that Miley is the main sell of this magazine, which also attracts any Miley Cyrus fans to pick up this magazine and buy it.
Just like Rolling Stone Magazine, this magazine also uses Summer Concerts as a sell, with the article 'How To Score The Best Gigs Of Summer', which also attracts the audience to pick up and buy the magazine.
The colour scheme of the magazine is simple; with White and Yellow strap lines. Both colours connote 'summer' and 'fun' which may be reflected in the preferred style of magazine. These colours also would stand out on a shelf of other magazines, as not many magazines use colours as bright as Yellow.
